We are proud to announce the launch of the API-SPORTS SPRING CUP, our first sim racing championship on Assetto Corsa Evo. A unique event designed to bring our community together around a shared passion: competition.

This championship is open to all platform users, whether you are on a free plan or a paid subscription. No purchase is required to participate. Regardless of your sim racing experience, the API-SPORTS SPRING CUP is a friendly yet competitive event where everyone can test their skills against other members of our community.

And because no competition is complete without stakes, real rewards are on the line. The best drivers will win API-Sports subscriptions, combining the thrill of racing with access to our sports data.

The Format

The API-SPORTS SPRING CUP will take place over 8 rounds spread throughout the season. Each round consists of three phases: Practice, Qualifying, and Race. An overall championship standing will be maintained across the entire season to determine the champions.

• 8 rounds in total, each consisting of Practice, Qualifying, and Race

• Only the top 10 finishers in each race score points

• Pole Position bonus: +1 point awarded to the fastest qualifier

• A tighter points system, designed to keep the title fight alive until the very last race

• No drop races: every result counts

This format guarantees intense competition where every single point matters. No round is meaningless, and the standings can shift at any moment.

Category System

To ensure balanced and competitive racing, drivers will be split into categories based on the total number of participants:

• Up to 20 Single category
• 21 to 40 Category A and Category B
• 41 to 60 Category A, Category B, and Category C

A maximum of 60 drivers will be selected. Category placement is determined through pre-qualification sessions one-hour timed sessions on a designated track with a mandatory car, held before the official start of the season.

Multiple pre-qualification time slots will be offered so that every registered driver can participate, regardless of their availability. Only the 60 best lap times across all sessions will be retained.

Clean Racing, Real Competition

The API-SPORTS SPRING CUP aims to deliver clean, competitive, and respectful racing. We expect every driver to uphold fair play, both on and off the track.

A comprehensive rulebook has been written to govern the competition. It covers on-track conduct, the incident reporting system, and applicable penalties.

• Key principle: no self-justice on track. Protests must be filed after the race, with mandatory video evidence.

• Steward decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

• Zero tolerance for toxic, racist, sexist, or discriminatory behavior, immediate and permanent ban.

The goal is simple: guarantee an enjoyable and fair racing experience for every participant, from first to last.

How It All Works

The entire competition is managed through a dedicated website where you will find all essential information:

• Live results and championship standings

• The complete rulebook

After the pre-qualification phase, selected drivers will receive an invitation to the private Discord server, where the championship will be organized. Server passwords, race briefings, and support will all be handled there.
